Eddie Sasso’s Biography:

As if lifted from the pages of a Raymond Chandler novel, Eddie Sasso interacts with his audience as if they are guests in his living room. At times, he may quote Einstein, or Hemmingway, but with hard-boiled elocution. While the candor of his stories and humor are often forthright, he maintains a friendly politesse.

Playing tenor in the firebrand roadhouse style of the late 40’s, Eddie pays tribute to mentors such as Big Jay McNeely, Joe Houston, Illinois Jacquet, and Las Vegas’ legendary Sam Butera. Eddie improvises freely, seldom duplicating a riff. On guitar,
he demonstrates his finger-picking technique, and complex use of jazz chords, influenced
by Chet Atkins, Merle Travis, and Jerry Reed. A resourceful vocalist, Eddie Sasso sings an extensive array of styles, from jazz to blues, soul to country.

Unlike some mainstream artists, Eddie Sasso takes cues from the appearance guidelines of Frank Sinatra. Although Eddie doesn’t opt for the tux. A performance is always a formal occasion to him. Eddie favors neckties, cufflinks, and an impeccably matched fedora over jeans and sneakers.

Offstage, Eddie gives private lessons on saxophone, and guitar. Using the same method he was taught as a youngster. Eddie has appointments available at this time, and he can be contacted at 702-496-1547, or by e-mail, at bluflame6@cox.net.
